Smooshiness

This morning when I woke up I found a big Reese's peanut butter heart on the counter, not of the ass crack/male genitalia variety, but the big, actually heart shaped variety. On it was written, "Because I Love You,” and "To: B, From: A." (B is what Adam calls me). Seeing this gave me that totally smooshy feeling you get when you are reminded how much you really love someone. You know the feeling that makes you forget every stupid thing your significant other ever did. Like the time Adam told me, "he wasn't excited about the wedding," what he was trying to express was that, "he wasn't concerned how exactly the wedding went, as long as at the end of the day I was his bride." A sweet sentiment, but Adam is not always the best with words...

I may or may not have been pmsing that day, and I may or may not have spent an hour crying into my pillow exclaiming, "You are not sure that you love me!" Sarah may or may not have spent the hour looking at her parents like their bodies had been replaced by alien pea pods. But with the help of the peanut butter heart gesture, I think I can finally forgive Adam for this transgression. However, I don't know if I can forgive him for the time he ate the last KFC biscuit. Now THAT was an ugly day in the Ervin/Marten household.

All the feelings of love & smooshiness were coursing through my heart, when I went to put the candy in the fridge to save it for later. When I looked into the fridge, I spotted another candy heart already in there, "Two Hearts for me!" I thought, "I am so loved." On the heart was written, "Because I Love Me, To: A, From: A" My man sure knows how to bring the comedy.

P.s.-Happy Valentine's Day, Y'all.

  2. Adam is a man after my own heart (so to speak)... I have trouble buying gifts for anyone without throwing in one for me!

  4. Happy Valentine's Day! I know exactly what you mean about Adam not being good with words. Match says things like that all the time and then has to back pedal as I either turn red with rage or teary eyed. My favorite was when he said I had "child bearing hips" and thought it was a compliment! REALLY?!
Oh and I got your CD, thank you!! Match opened the mail, and was like, who's DG? I just snagged it and said a silent thank you to you Miss Britt for not putting Date Girl for the mailman to laugh at!! :-)

Since I'm so bad about this, I will mostly reply to comments in my comment section, so please check back!
